Last March scientists and researchers from 80 nations sounded the alarm in, declaring that the world witnessed serious climate changes which can not be returned without taking a swift move to avoid their effects. However, the new scenarios they have imposed could become a good road map for action in order to avoid the bad results of these changes.

High temperature, increasing dry areas, water scarcity and the decline in agricultural crops, climatic changes and sea-level rise .... affected the safety and security, investment, industry, trade and tourism.

In Syria, government trends evolve, day after day to activate the use of renewable energies and the adoption of national policies to meet the demand for alternative energy ... In the process of preparing for the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, the concentration emphasis is on renewable energies, and to seek to change the style and the culture of excessive consumption of energy resources in general and to the energy in particular through the support of research, studies and to transfer it to reach more serious ideas in this area at the national level and even at the regional level.
