SIMA is proved to be one of the best industrial fairs in Syria providing an excellent opportunity to establish and develop international business cooperation.
The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus participates this year with its own pavilion representing large range of Belarusian companies and enterprises interested in doing business with Syria.
We do believe that our presence at SIMA 2003 will contribute the extending of further business activities and the increasing of trade turnover between the Republic of Belarus and the Syrian Arab Republic.

The Commercial Section of the British Embassy Damascus and Trade Partners UK look forward to doing business at SIMA 2003.
SIMA is a very important Trade Fair in our commercial calendar and our mini catalogue exhibition at the Fair enables us to introduce the quality, durability and innovativity of British products to the Syrian market. Our expert commercial staff will be on hand to supply information and contact details of any British company in any sector - and to advise on the best ways of doing business with them. We also invite business people to visit the Commercial Section of the Embassy after the Fair to discuss follow-up action for business success.
The year 2002 was a record year for UK/Syria bilateral trade, British exports to Syria increased by 26% over 2001 and Syrian exports to UK increased by 33% over 2001 figures. This is excellent news and we hope to better these figures in 2003.
We wish to Organizers of SIMA 2003, their participant companies and trade visitors much success this year. SIMA 2003 will be my last Trade Fair in Syria as I leave Damascus at the end of my posting this month – I shall greatly miss Syria and her people.
But I will be back !!

SIMA holds on enjoying the reputation of one of the best industrial fairs in Syria matching successfully international fair standards. Last year our Embassy participated for the first time with its own stand. The great interest of Syrian businessmen in Czech products exhibited there in form of catalogues encouraged us in repeating our participation this year as well.
We believe SIMA will become a traditional trade event supporting our effort to promote business contact between the Czech Republic and the Syrian Arab Republic.
